Anti-maskers paraded through a Florida Target store dancing and singing “take it off!” One of them said, “It’s your right to do what you want, it’s my right to do what I want.” No, it’s not. You don’t get to do whatever you want, wherever you want, whenever you want. That’s idiocy. It can also be unlawful in some cases. These people arguably are trespassing.
While we’re talking about “rights,” the store has a right to throw these people off the premises and bar them from returning; it’s private property, so the store can do what it wants. Right?
I won’t dignify this stunt by calling it a “protest.” These people are idiots. If they did it on public property, then it would be a protest, and they’d be idiotic protesters. (All lawful protests are equally legitimate, but they’re not all equally valid. Protesting health regulations during a deadly pandemic is just plain stupid.) Oh, and needless to say, these morons are wearing “MAGA” shirts and caps. Stupidity seems to run in rivers through that crowd. Read story here.
