“Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s wife asked State Department staff to help send personal family Christmas cards,” CNN reported on Monday, September 14, 2020.
Toni Porter, an aide, told the House Foreign Affairs Committee “she had assisted with personal Christmas cards and felt uncomfortable with the task,” CNN said. Read story here.
Democrats are probing Pompeo’s firing of Steve Linick, State’s inspector general, whose office was investigating “potential misuse of taxpayer resources” among other potential wrongdoing until he was sacked, CNN said.
