A Georgia sheriff’s deputy who beat a black man unconscious was fired on Sunday, September 13, 2020, and may face criminal charges.
Two days earlier, a friend was driving Roderick Walker, his girlfriend and their child home after he dropped off a rental car when they were pulled over for a broken taillight.
When asked for his ID, Walked replied, “Why?” In an ensuing altercation, the fired deputy repeatedly punched Walker in the face with the child screaming, “Daddy! Daddy!” in the graphic video below.
