Two violent members of a Missouri militia group with criminal records were arrested by FBI agents at a Kenosha motel on Thursday, September 3, 2020, after Iowa police received a tip they going to Kenosha to “loot and possibly pick people off.” They apparently were present for Trump’s visit and attended his rally on Tuesday.
The agents seized weapons that included an AR-15, a shotgun, 2 pistols, a silencer, and body armor. Because of their criminal records, they couldn’t legally possess guns.
A witness told authorities one of the men believed conspiracy theories, engaged in “crazy political talk,” and talked about “using firearms on people.” He has prior convictions for auto theft, burglary, receiving stolen property, felon in possession of firearm, evading peace officer resulting in injury/death, drug possession, and parole violation, according to charging papers. The other man has been convicted of misdemeanor domestic battery, which bars him from having guns.
