A GoFundMe for Jacob Blake and his family raised $1.1 million in one day and over $800,000 the second day, The Hill reported. (Click here to donate., or see the current total.)
“The description for the campaign states that the funds will go toward ‘Jacob’s medical bills, family expenses, legal representation, support for his children and therapy costs,” The Hill said. The fundraising campaign’s goal was $2 million.
While the story doesn’t say, I’m guessing some big-name celebrities made large donations. There are about 64,500 total donors so far.
