Update: Boris Johnson, Britain’s prime minister, has improved enough to be moved out of intensive care, and is said to be in good spirits.
He was moved to an intensive care unit on Monday, April 6, 2020, after his coronavirus symptoms worsened, after being admitted to hospital the previous day. As of Tuesday, April 7, he was awake and alert, and although receiving “standard oxygen treatment” did not have pneumonia and did not require a ventilator.
He apparently is the first head of a major government to become seriously ill from Covid-19. Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has been covering for him.
Hope the PM enjoys his hourly cup of tea. A NHS tradition.
