“The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear President Donald Trump’s appeals in three separate cases to prevent his financial records, including tax returns, being handed over to Democratic-led House of Representatives committees and a New York prosecutor,” Huffington Post reports.
The House subpoenas are unrelated to the impeachment inquiry. The New York state prosecutor is conducting a criminal investigation of Trump’s private businesses. Lower courts have ruled against the president’s efforts to block the subpoenas.

This is an interesting case. Of course a good decision by the court is one where no one is happy. And there are those pesky first 10 amendments. I do suspect the state of New York is sol, due to the state already has sufficient documentation to proceed, and the state lacks jurisdiction.
I suspect the house will get some documents, but not all. Or the court will decide what Congress gets.
