Palm Oil v. Orangutans

Pictured below is Indonesian orangutan habitat. Or, it was. Now it grows palm oil, which is used in nearly half of the products on grocery shelves. Sorry, orangutans. Read story here.

And here’s a charming ad banned from British TV for being “too political.” (Apparently that’s a no-no in Britain. Note: “Iceland” refers to the UK grocery chain that sponsored it, not a country.)

We’re not asking you to avoid palm oil products. We only want you to know whose homes are ravaged to produce this product.
