Plot to discredit Washington Post backfires
A woman identifying herself as Jamie Phillips approached the Washington Post with a dramatic story about being impregnated in her teens by GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore. The story was false. It appears Phillips was working for James O’Keefe, an infamous conservative troll who tries to entrap liberal targets to discredit them. The Washington Post didn’t fall for Phillips’ plot. Instead, it turned the tables on her by running a story about how its journalistic safeguards caught and exposed her. Read it here. Read about Phillips here.
