Alonso Guillen came to the U.S. illegally at age 15. He graduated from high school in Lufkin, Texas, then worked in construction and as a disc jockey at a local radio station. He was a “Dreamer.”
When Hurricane Harvey struck, Guillen and several friends borrowed a boat, drove 120 miles to Houston, and set about rescuing people stranded by the storm. The boat struck a highway bridge, overturned, and Guillen drowned.
Guillen, who dreamed of becoming an American, died saving Americans. He was buried in Lufkin and now is part of America forever. Read his story here.
P.S., President Trump wants to throw “Dreamers” out of our country. Do you support that?
