He, She or They?
My wife and I just paid our annual dues at a Jewish liberal group. New to the form was a request that include our “pronouns.” I think the choices were He, She, or They,. I guess It is out?
OK, I see that people have all kinds of rights to choose an identity, but the choices seem to me to be rather limited. Why can I not put down that I a Jeffersonian? Or that my proudest ancestry, shown by my DNA, si to the Cro Magnons in France who painted the Lascaux cave? What if I want to identify as Black like Rachel Dolazel?
