UW Black Graduation Ceremony

Participation in the 2017 UW Black Graduation & kente Ceremony is open to all UW undergraduate and graduate students

Ethnic graduation is not is unique to the UW. Harvard has its Black graduation and Latinoes students organized s Harvard Latin@ Graduation last year. UCLA had a separate graduation ceremony for Jewish students. UC Davis offers three special graduation celebrations honoring underrepresented ethnic minorities African Americans, Hispanic and Phillipinos. Columbia has a webpage listing multicultural graduation ceremonies that celebrate the accomplishments of students who have engaged in one or many of Columbia’s diverse communities.
