Eagle Drops Salmon, Power Out in Seattle

testPower was out for about 2½ hours.  Connie McDougall, a spokeswoman for Seattle Light, says a salmon likely wriggled its way out of becoming lunch but met a different, unfortunate end.

“Crews got out there almost immediately and there was … an electrocuted fish” on the ground below the power lines. “They put two and two together on how it got there.”

In 2015, 162 birds caused outages and two bald eagles were killed.
