Repeat After Me: A Vote For Jill Stein Is A Vote For Donald Trump
What maddens me is that I have a dear friend, someone I admire who will vote for Stein or Johnson. This friend is a very smart, very successful trans businesswoman. My friend is not a conservative, but she is someone who believes we need to do more to unleash small businesses.
Sounds like a natural vote for Mrs. Clinton?
Why not?
My friend also describes Mrs. Clinton as a liar, as untrustworthy and self serving. If I ask whether my friend get these ideas from Fox, Roberta gets very angry, “I do NOT watch Foz!” BUT .. she then tells me that Hillary is a liar, and self serving, and ….
She is not worried that Hillary killed Vince Foster, covered up Whitewater, pimped for Bill, allowed Ambassador Stephens to be killed, or the the Clinton Foundation is corrupt. So where do these foul ideas come from?
Roberta is very bright, but we cannot discuss Hillary’s policies or career in any rational way. I agree on some concerns about Hillary. I worry about her ability to be presidential, I do not think Hillary has the moral glow we need. I also worry about some or her friends, not the wall street and lawyer crowd but people like Ira Magaziner who really, really effed up Hillary care and now is high up in the Foundation.
I especially worry about her vision. Where does she see the future of education and science? What do we do about the religious pollution of American life? How do we create opportunity? Ezra Klein has done a brilliant job of answering Robert’s questions:
