Even Donald Trump can’t keep his own secret. The big bombshell everyone is waiting for is that Donald Trump has never paid taxes to Uncle Sam for five years. I guess he didn’t know that the roads leading to his Manhattan office, the airports where his private jet lands, the army that he is so proud of, the police that he supports; all of them are paid by taxes. Even his sworn enemies, immigrants, pay a lot of taxes and some of them don’t get back deductions, especially if they’re unauthorized workers. But DT, who wants to run America does not pay taxes.
While Pence is a less radical veep selection than Gingrich or Christie, he’s not someone a thoughtful person can vote for. He’s a creationist, a hardcore opponent of abortion and LGBT rights, a spending hawk (he favors a constitutional amendment capping federal spending), an immigration hawk, and supported the Iraq War. He’s governor of a deep-red state, which tells you who votes for him. His function is to get conservatives to vote for Trump, who is not a conservative and has many positions contrary to conservative ideology. The best thing you can say about Pence is that vice presidents are useless and powerless, and he’ll be less dangerous in that position than in a cabinet job, should Trump somehow win the White House.
