“NBA owner and billionaire investor Mark Cuban said he’s open to a conversation about running for Vice President in 2016 with either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton.”

Read story here. First of all, Cuban’s self-worship is getting a bit ahead of itself. Most people have never heard of him. He’s never received a single vote in a competitive election for any public office. So what makes him think he’s so desirable a political figure that both of the major parties’ presidential nominees would offer him the No. 2 spot on their tickets? But apart from Cuban’s swelled head and total lack of political experience, there’s another problem: A man doesn’t take sides stands for nothing. Such a man is nothing but a hired gun. Here’s what philosophers and sages say about people like him:
“The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in times of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality.” ― Dante Alighieri
“A truly living human being cannot remain neutral.” ― Nadine Gordimer
“A bridge has no allegiance to either side.” ― Les Coleman
“Whatever neutrality is, it is not very useful to anybody.” ― William Saroyan
“To be neutral is rather like someone who lives in the middle of a house and is smoked out from below and drenched with urine from above.” ― Wilhelm Leibniz
