Passenger terrified by math; professor escorted off plane
“‘A flight was delayed for more than two hours on Thursday after a paranoid passenger suspected a professor writing out math equations was a terrorist[,]’ American Airlines confirmed.” (Read story here.)

I tried to write a snarky tagline for this story, but couldn’t choose between:
(1) “Low information voter”
(2) “Trump supporter for sure!”
(3) “Economics is a form of terrorism”
(4) “Even Trump can’t fix stupid”
(5) “Algebra looks like Arabic to me, too!”
Obviously, the complaining passenger looks like a fool. But you gotta wonder about the airline and flight crew, too. Are we now going to turn planes around and kick off passengers because doing math during a flight makes someone jumpy? Well, anyway, I finally came up with a tagline for this story:
“Ladies and gentlemen, our in-flight movie this afternoon is ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest.’ Enjoy the movie and flight!”
