The Kochs Switch Parties?

IKE WWID koch“We’re not for somebody because they’re Republican or against them because they are Democrat.”

Charles Koch admitted on ABC’s This Week Sunday that he despises his own creation: The Republican party that spawned Donald Trump.

Charles Koch says he won’t “put a penny” into trying to stop Donald Trump, that there are “terrible role models” among the remaining Republican presidential candidates, and that his massive political network may decide to sit out of the presidential race entirely.
“These personal attacks and pitting one person against the other—that’s the message you’re sending the country,” Koch said in an exclusive interview with ABC News that aired Sunday. “You’re role models and you’re terrible role models. So how—I don’t know how we could support ’em.” […]

“We haven’t put a penny in any of these campaigns, pro or con,” Koch said. “That’s not what Bernie Endorsement Icowe do. What we’re trying to do is build alliances to make the country better.”
Koch also said that he and his brother will be skipping the Republican convention because they are “not interested in politics,” and are just “interested in moving us towards a culture and policies that will enable people to improve lives.”

He also said that he and his brother are totally open to supporting Democrats. “We’re not for somebody because they’re Republican or against them because they are Democrat.” Maybe it’s just that Republicans are so much easier to buy. Of course there’s also the problem of convincing Democrats of the Koch vision for making the country better and improving lives.

That was apparent when Koch gave a sort of backhanded endorsement of Hillary Clinton over Trump and Cruz, saying “it’s possible” Clinton would be a better alternative as president. Clinton immediately responded on Twitter, writing she is “not interested in endorsements from people who deny climate science and try to make it harder for people to vote.”
