Spoiler alert: D’Sousa isn’t an original thinker; in this film, he recycles the hoary old conservative argument that the Democrats are the “party of slavery.” Yeah, 150 years ago, conservatives were called “Democrats,” see? By the way, D’Sousa served his felony sentence for money laundering in a halfway house, not the hardcore lockup depicted in his film.
