Vermin Supreme, a veteran politician making his 7th presidential run, got 259 votes in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary, giving him a strong 4th place finish well ahead of all other Democratic candidates except for Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, and Martin O’Malley. Supreme promises that when (not if, but when) he’s elected president (1) everyone will get a free pony, and (2) he won’t keep any of his other promises. Some voters find his honesty refreshing, and he also comes across as one of the saner candidates, at least compared to those in the Republican primary.
