The Forward’s list is ..to say the least . very peculiar. Leaving aside their inclusion of a horse (the winner of the triple crown, American Pharaoh) what the hell is Sheldon Adelson doing here?? This man has no real achievements other than building a shady casino network and supporting the evangelical christian/Tea Party/Netanyahu axis. If this Jew is “Top” one wondere about George Soros ..the founder of MoveOn? Then too, I not the absence of such amazing people as Zuckerberg .., is FACEBOOK chopped liver? And literature??? Are there really no major Jewish authors??? As for my own field, science, only Evelyn Witkin under “science” is a major figure in scientific discovery, and … the huge fields of molecular genetic (Eric Lander heads the most important Broad Institute) artificial intelligence (Judeah Pearl won last year’s Turing Award) as well as physics. math and economics (is Paul Krugman relevant?) …neglected.
