Malaysia’s prime minister, Najib Razak, announced this afternoon the debris that washed ashore on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean has been “confirmed” to be from Malaysian Airlines MH-370, but didn’t explain how the determination was made. French authorities were more reserved, and said about an hour later there’s a “strong presumption” the debris is MH-370, but more testing will be done.
