I am a pro union guy. I would vote for a city law requiring large empoyers to be unionized (as is the case in Germany). BUT .. the way to get such a law is not by yyhios sort of blackmail strategy. Perhaps this is what Sawant means when she described herself as a Trptkyite?
UPDATE: A source close to Sawant’s campaign has bragged to me that she has already raised over $400,000 BEFORE the primary is complete.
The irony of this is that her campaign is also bemoaning the voters’ decision to go to district rather than city wide elections DESPITE her decision to run as a candidate in District 3. Now well into her campaign she still has made no effort to met with any of the community groups in District 3.
What position is Sawant running for?
