Some people will do literally anything for a buck. This plastic cellphone case is being marketed to young people as “trendy, cool, stylish.” Do you want your teen walking around like this? Should government regulators keep such products off the market, or is that unduly interfering with freedom of enterprise? Should tort lawyers be allowed to sue the maker of this product when (not if) it gets some kid killed by the police, or is that an “abusive lawsuit” which should be barred by so-called “tort reform” laws favored by Republican legislators?
