Well Cuba Has Mede it Legal to Buy a New Car
ALL YOU NEED is Money!
SEEMS LIKE CUBA IS READY TO TAKE JOBS AWAY FROM CHINA!
Workers in Cuba have always wanted things. Now they can buy some things IF they have money!
For decades, tourists and photojournalists have seen the 54 Chevy as the state animal of America’s closest remnant of the soviet era. Under the Castros a special permit was required to purchase a car, and only special classes, n this classless sate, could get a permit. A bank accounts outside of Cuba was a big help!
The permitting system was removed last year and now run dealerships or buy a used car. Typical prices at a dealership for a used car are about $24,000 in a country where the average wage is still $20 a month! At that rate, if Cubans could buy on time, it would take the average worker about 200 years to buy the lowest priced import.
BUT
A Peugeot that runs $53,000 in the United Kingdom sells for $262,000 at a Havana dealership. A Kia Rio sells for $13,600 in the United States, sells for $42,000 in Cuba.
