Boeing gets a new CEO

isI.tGWvBKM8Dennis Muilenberg, 51, a Boeing careerist who worked his way up the management ladder on the defense side, will replace James NcNerny as Boeing CEO on July 1, the Seattle Times reported this afternoon. McNerny, 65, will stay on as chairman until February 2016. Muilenberg currently is vice chairman, president, and chief operating officer, and was regarded as “the clear favorite” to succeed McNerny. He’s been with Boeing since 1985.
