Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), who married into a wealthy family and has no idea what it’s like to face medical bills without health insurance, described the 20 million people newly insured under Obamacare as “individuals that have benefited from Obamacare on the backs of the American taxpayer.”
We get that Republicans hate taxes (which is perfectly logical, because they pay most of them, because they get most of our country’s assets and income). We also get that Republicans don’t care about the uninsured (who numbered 50 million-plus before Obamacare), or the gaps in private health insurance (Republicans had 30 years to fix this and did nothing about it), or the fact that medical bills are the leading cause of personal bankruptcy.
We get that Republicans are selfish a-holes. He doesn’t need to rub it in.

Nobody should be faced with bills that they cannot pay just to maintain their health, despite that the Republicans say.
