The sad thing abut this passage is the unstated origin of the wives of Cain and of the other male children of Adam and Eve. If Adam and Eve were our ultimate parents, who bore the women that coupled with Enos or Cain? Of course there are other problem, as a biologist I now that women need TWO X chromosomes. IF Eve was born of Adams rib, then she would be a transgender female .. a female with a Y instead of an X. OK But a fertile transgender? Oh and if she was fertile, it makes sense Eve would only be able to have boys. Maybe that is OK if someone lese was making girls to mate with “her” boys??

23 And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.
24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.
25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord.
