Former Jackson County, Mississippi, deputy sheriff Michael Slater — notice I said “former,” because he no longer works there — threatened an online gamer in a video chatroom by saying, “You about to come to a f—–g paid police officer’s house. I get paid to beat up n—-rs like you.” To convince the victim he was an actual cop, he supplied his name, address, phone number, badge number, and precinct assignment. “Jackson County Sheriff spokesperson Cherie Ward said the deputy was terminated immediately after the sheriff became aware of the video on Monday,” 4WWL-TV reported.
