A Ferguson town meeting to discuss civilian oversight of the police turned rowdy Wednesday night after a woman confronted a police union official about his “I am Darren Wilson” wristband. The argument quickly escalated into a shoving match as citizens and cops waded in. The union official, Jeff Roorda, who is white, later claimed he was “the victim” and complained about “anti-police radicals fomenting violence against the police.” But witnesses says Roorda pushed the woman first, and the St. Louis American reported, “Police held Roorda back as he tried to charge at people in crowd.”
