The Nebraska Supreme Court ruled today, by a 3-4 vote, that it’s okay to confiscate private land for the Keystone XL pipeline without the landowners getting a hearing before the state public service commission as required by state law. You read that right, the court’s judges voted 3 in favor of the pipeline and 4 against, so the pipeline wins. What do you expect in a Republican state? Democracy?
