Glad to live in WASTATE
I am very happy to live here rather than in the former confederacy. A state like South Carolina where some of my own family chose to live, disgusts me. Still, before getting too happy let me point out that our own state has a very racist history. When my wife and I moved here the Indian Fishing Rights decision was made. The Seattle Times ran front page ads for folks (I assume they meant white people) who wanted to go down to the Columbia and take rifles to shoot at the Indians. Even today, we have our share! Go to the Southern Poverty Law Center for a map of hate in WASTATE.
