This is simply stupid. Even if every other cop were a redneck who sleeps in a hooded sheet, this sort of disrespect for the two officers murdered in NY demeans the entire effort to reform police practices.
The Ave has carried a lot about police thuggery as well the related issue of legal thuggery. I myself was arrested by two federal cops who refused to identify themselves. These cops belong to an American secret police that claims no allegiance to the US Constitution .. after all it was based on the INS! I needed an intervention by a Congressman even to find out who they were and then they refused to provide Jim McDermott with more than a heavily redacted report even though my case had been dismissed by the Federal Court because a surveillance video showed the “cops” had lied.
We need legal reform to see that cops and lawyers who abuse their positions are charged with and tried for crimes. Getting that reform is blocked when the issue is turned into a race-based circus. All that does is make money for O’Reilly and Sharpton.
