Qatar has been trying to become a cultural Mecca within the overly wealthy, oil stained emirates. They even want to host an Olmpics!
Sadly, Qatar is what it is. Last year, Greece pulled two 2500 year old male statues from an Olympic exhibition in Doha.
A Culture Ministry official says exhibition organizers wanted to avoid scandalizing female visitors.
