“Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, doesn’t think much of a new report from the House Intelligence Committee that exonerates the administration of any alleged wrongdoing in its response to the 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya. ‘I think the report is full of crap,’ Graham told CNN on Sunday. … When CNN’s Gloria Borger asked Graham why the Republican chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Michigan Rep. Mike Rogers, would buy what the senator described as a ‘bunch of garbage,’ Graham replied, ‘Good question.'”

I have an alternative theory: The House report is right and Sen. Graham is full of crap. (It wouldn’t be the first time. According to Wikipedia, in 1998, while a House member running for reelection, Graham described himself on his website as an Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm veteran, even though his military service during those conflicts was performed stateside. A hometown newspaper called him on it.)
I also have a suggestion.
Graham probably is just grandstanding to an audience, i.e. telling the rightwing mob what they want to hear. That’s what politicians do. He certainly knows better, because he’s a lawyer trained and experienced in reaching evidence-based conclusions. And like many lawyers who became politicians, he started his public career as a prosecutor. (In the military). But let’s say he’s a guy who actually reaches a conclusion first, and then demands that you give him facts supporting the conclusion he wants.
If that’s how this guy thinks, someone should go back and review all his cases to find out how many innocent people he sent to prison.
P.S., why does South Carolina elect people like him to Congress? It must have something to do with the kind of people who live there.
I have asked my brother in law the same question. He just gets mad. SC. the home of the confederacy should never have been allowed back in the Union.
