Sale or display of the of the racist symbol will be prohibited by House Bill AB2444. The bill was passed by Assemblyman Isadore Hall, D-Compton, after his mother saw replica Confederate money being sold at the state Capitol gift shop.
The only lawmaker to vote against the bill was Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, the leading Republican candidate for governor.
