At he last possible moment Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-Wash.) wants an end to the shutdown and lift the debt limit. Last night, Rep. Herrera panicked. She broke ranks from \ calling on her party to give up hope of blocking Obamacare in the budget fight.
“It’s time for my colleagues to face reality.”
Really? The time was weeks and months ago. Herrera represents a moderate district that has voted for moderates irrespective of their party logo and certainly for the Tea Party radicals.
Washington State elections are officially non partisan. If Herrera wants moderate votes, she needs to make this belated flight from radical republicanism a permanent reality. Is she insists on remaining a cell mate with Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz, Rep. Herrera ought to become red meat for some blue donkey!
