In an informal meting with the publisher of the Washington Post, Mr. Romney was asked how he felt about the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin to seek a 4th presidential term in 2018.
Mr. Romney laughed and assured Mr. Bezos that this culd not happen here in America. He said, “That is Russia, they are not exceptional like us.” Then Mr. Romney explained that Russia is more like a corporation and , like a successful American Corporation .. for example Mr. Bezos’ own Amazon, it makes sense for the CEO to remain in charge as long as the stockholders feel they are getting good returns. Mr. Bezos, we are told, also laughed and jokes, “Maybe Amazon ought to buy out the US?”
