Harvard student Brittany Smith was a scholarship student at Harvard and about to graduate. Last Fall, after graduation, Ms. Smith was sentences to three years in prison for her role in the murder of Justin Cosby.
Smith’s boyfriend Jabrai Jordan Copney lived with Smith in her Kirkland House rooms. Copney lured Mr. Cosby into Kirkland House to complete a marijuana sale. Instead Copney and his friends attempted to rob Cosby. Cosby was shot and fatally wounded,when he tried to resist.
“If it hadn’t been for her, there would have been no crime, (she) was the nucleus of the whole thing.” Denise Cosby, Justin’s mother. “But I think it is important for her to know that she has to pay for the crime, for her part in it,’’ Denise Cosby said.
