I’m out of the Red Sea and out of the Indian Ocean and in the Persian Gulf,
at anchor since midnight it seems that the ship at the berth in Jebal Ali
that we’re heading too is late leaving, so it seems as though we’ll be
swinging on the hook until tonight. This will give us in the black gang a
chance to catch p on some maintenance, so I should get ashore tomorrow
night, not sure if I’ll drink wine from Lebanon, beer from Syria or Whiskey
from India. I’ll keep you posted
I did get a good view of Iran on the way in, the southern white cliffs of
Persia, the republican cadet was somewhat shocked to learn that there were
advanced civilizations in this regions millennia before Europe, of course
devout bible-believing Christian that he is, he was also skeptical when I
told him that Jesus was both Middle Eastern and Jewish, and that Judaism was
an Asian Religion. Who educates these kids?
