(Reuters) – The Philippines and Vietnam condemned Chinese passports containing a map of China’s disputed maritime claims on Thursday, branding the new design a violation of their sovereignty.
As the century begins, this may be the beginning of the 21st century “New World Order.” China may absorb its neighbors not into the sort of coprosperity sphere Japan’s Tojo imagined but into a regional version of the British Empire … with Beijing’s soft power ruling the Western Pacific Rim from Kamchatka to Australia.
