The Washington Post points out Mitt’s odd use of the term the “recreational” when asked about legalized medical marijuana in a sate where “medicinal pot: has become a major industry.
“I oppose marijuana being used for recreational purposes and I believe the federal law should prohibit the recreational use of marijuana,”
Team Romney, as it often does, stepped in to explain:
“Governor Romney … opposes legalizing drugs, including marijuana for medicinal purposes. He will fully enforce the nation’s drug laws, and he will oppose any attempts at legalization.”
Hmmm … while I have reservations about the “medicinal” value of pot, what does Team R mean by “drugs?” Since caffeine is a drug, are they ready to shut down Starbucks?
