Republicans support “changing the way that the decennial census is conducted, so that citizens are distinguished from lawfully present aliens and illegal aliens.”
I actually like this one. Each 700,000 people get to select one representative to Congress. The Congressional Districts with the most people ineligible to vote are all in the South and Southwest … not just because of the trickle of illegals but because the census counts EVERYONE resident in a District.
Worse, since these border districts are largely republicans, the current policy (the one they oppose?) actually give each Republicans more votes than each Democrat … just like White Southerners got 3/5 of the votes of each slave to add to their own!
Since ALL resident pay taxes, this means people in Texas and Arizona have taxation without representation!
