US probes Apple’s patent infringement
A US trade panel Tuesday launched a probe after the Motorola company alleged that its patents were infringed by Apple Inc.
The products at issue are certain Apple iPhones, iPods, iPads, and Apple personal computers, Xinhua quoted the US International Trade Commission (USITC) as saying.
Motorola Mobility LLC and two of its overseas subsidiaries filed a complaint last month with USITC, claiming those Apple products infringed on their patents.
USITC said that it had identified Apple Inc. of Cupertino, CA as the respondent in this probe, adding that it will schedule and hold an evidentiary hearing.
