Washington’s two top candidates for governor talked to AARP-Washington members in back-to-back town-hall meetings this week. Neither Democrat Jay Inslee nor Republican Rob McKennadropped a bombshell in the telephone call-ins, and both said they want to see the federal Affordable Care Act put into effect at the state level.
Both stuck by their campaign stories that they can put $1 billion into the state’s K-12 school system over the next budget cycle without new taxes and without cutting into services the elderly depend on.
