Over at Sound Politics, Seattle Radical Reprican Remnant (RRR) blog, Sharkansky .. the blogger and himself a Jew, criticized Alaska Airline because:
Pilots on an Alaska Airlines flight from Mexico City to Los Angeles locked down the cockpit and alerted authorities Sunday when a flight crew grew alarmed at the behavior of three men who turned out to be conducting an elaborate orthodox Jewish prayer ritual, officials said.
Of course his readers, a very conservative christian crown (CCC), decided that these freeky Jews were just being obnoxious.
I am with Sharkansky on this one. Laying Tefillin is as normal to Jews mas fingering rosary beads is to a Christian. So, by the logic of AA, I suppose next time I see a priest with a large metal cross on a chain or fungeirng rosary beads, I should demand we return to the airpport?
This same scenario has taken place on different U.S. airlines about once or twice a year for the past several years. If it were Mongolia Airways I could understand, but shouldn’t U.S. carriers take five minutes to brief their flight crews about tefillin?
