For what it is worth, I like a lot of these people but will pay special attention to Ed Murray and Peter Steinbrueck.
Ed has been my state senator and a very effective leader in the Senate. He has the political heft to get tings done not only in Seattle but in the State.
Peter has never been that impressive as a politician but he may stand alone in understanding the unique opportunity Seattle now has to rebuild itself if the Mayor and Council stand up to the tasteless urab planning that has afflicted South Lake Union. It would be horrible if our new waterfront ends up looking like Allen’s Vulcanized SLU landscape.
