Gingrich says Romney would ‘buy an election if he could’
Washington, Jan 2 : Republican presidential contender Newt Gingrich has launched one of his harshest attacks on rival Mitt Romney, saying the former Massachusetts governor would “buy an election if he could.”
The former House speaker took a jab at Romney while fielding questions from the press on Sunday, Politico reports.
According to the paper, trying to argue for his own viability should Romney win Iowa and New Hampshire, Gingrich said Romney would have spent almost as much per vote in 2008 and 2012 as New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg did in his campaigns.
