from Daily Mail An Afghan detained at the Guantanamo Bay prison has died in an apparent suicide.
The 37-year-old prisoner, identified only as Inayatullah, was accused of being an Al Qaeda member and housed at the controversial U.S. jail in Cuba
The Afghan told officials he was a planner for Al Qaeda terrorist operations and admitted he organised the movement of foreign fighters, military sources said.
He was not a “terrorist”; he was an “alleged terrorist”. please –just bec the gov’t destrouys their civil liberties is no reason for us to do the same.
None of the people at Gitmo (maybe 1 or 2 exceptions0 have ever been convicted of ‘terrorism”
Tx.
Actually, this post is (as it states) just from The Mail.
That said, the mess created by Bush’s invention of Gitmo is a real tangle. How far are we from the end of the lease with Cuba? Seems to me, sfter the re-lection, getting out of GITMO would be a good step toward building a good Cuban/American bridge.
