Whoopie whoopie?
Sure. Since the Pakistani government has been so kind to the Americans, how much will we and the rest of the world rejoice if this triggers a civil war in Pakistan…
In the current wave of uprisings in so many Moslem countries, how much will we have gained from glee over Obama’s just revenge?
Will we expand the war in Afghanistan to save Pakistani from itself as well? Will NATO rush to our cause? Or should we just go it alone, as we did in Iraq, in order to protect the safety of the Ameican people?
Very proud to see that our “Frogmen” – best of the best on “Team 6” (who are SERE trained by my own brother!) were the ones who nailed him. All the chatter that is going on no doubt will facilitate the discovery of new cells to aid in the further disintegration of these evil men and women.
I can really understand why people are happy that Osama bin Laden was killed, even if he was not armed. It would have been great if he could have been captured alive and brought to trial for the crimes he committed, like any other violent thug.
No one seems to want to address the underlying reasons why the Bin Laden gang attacked the US in the first place, ie, because US military bases were stationed in Saudi Arabia and they wanted them out of their holy land. They succeeded in driving the US bases out into the Gulf States. Until the causes and conditions leading to all the terrorism are fully understood and dealt with, the terrorist Hyphae will continue to grow.
